| Process development is where KVA excels. Producing fundamentally sound development procedures is similar to a solid foundation for a building. KVA has a wide range of on-site development equipment, tooling and a metallurgical lab. From one to one-thousand parts can be processed and analyzed in our facility. The development process will provide the parameters that determine equipment requirements, production rates and metallurgical characteristics. |

A competent development project typically includes designing and building a part specific induction coil, a make-shift fixture to accommodate the work piece during the heating cycle and several prototype or production intent parts. Coil modifications are usually required to fine tune the process during development. If applicable, the processed part will be cut to examine the heat profile and study the metallurgical results from heating. Process development is equal parts science and art. The science comes from having reliable lab equipment and facilities. The art comes from experience and knowledge - both of which KVA has equal parts.
