The induction coil is a fundamental component to achieving the required metallurgical results for any induction application. Coils are designed and built specifically for the work piece. Considerations such as work piece material, size and geometry influence the configuration of the coil. During process development minor modifications are often made to perfect the heating pattern.

Induction coil designs range from simple to complex often involving intricate angles, cooling paths and field concentrators. Coil design is part science and part black art. KVA employs highly skilled coil builders that produce accurate tolerances for consistent process ability.
